A INTERDISCIPLINARIDADE DO ENSINO RELIGIOSO COM O ENSINO DE ARTES NA EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA: ESTUDO DE CASO UMEF ANTÔNIO BEZERRA DE FARIAS - VILA VELHA (ES)

Abstract

The present work aims to investigate the possibility of integration between Religious Education and the Arts discipline within Basic Education. The overall objective is to analyze the feasibility of an interdisciplinary approach that brings together these two Curricular Components, seeking to broaden students’ understanding of cultural manifestations, history, and human and social phenomena. To do so, we have established specific objectives: to examine the relationship between Arts and Religious Education, identifying points of convergence in the competencies and skills developed; to identify the main difficulties faced by teachers in motivating students in the learning of these subjects; and to suggest activities capable of promoting interdisciplinarity between both. The guiding question of the research is: how can the interdisciplinarity between Arts and Religious Education contribute to a more comprehensive and inclusive education for students? Our hypothesis is that the integration between these areas can mutually enrich the educational process, expanding the understanding of cultural manifestations, history, and human and social phenomena. As for the methodology, we conducted a survey based on the analysis of case studies developed with students in Elementary Education, in order to investigate the feasibility of combining Religious Education and Arts. Through the investigation of the relationship between both, the identification of pedagogical difficulties, and the suggestion of interdisciplinary activities, we hope to contribute to a comprehensive education that develops fundamental skills for personal and professional life, building a more just, supportive, and conscious society of its history and cultural diversity.
